Restore!

May 18, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Our nature sanctuary is home to a diverse native prairie plant community. Volunteers play a huge role in restoring this park’s native habitat. No experience necessary…Just a desire to be outdoors and learn about this local prairie and how YOU can restore it.

What we’ll do: We are holding drop-in events to assist in restoration of Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary. All tools will be provided. No experience is necessary- this is a great activity for anyone who wants to get outside, explore a new park and learn about restoring our natural areas.

Who: Individuals or small groups of all ages

Why: Explore a new park, give back to the community, be outside and meet awesome people!

Work done: our work can be light to moderate in difficulty. Typical work is weeding, removing invasive species, some planting, brush hauling and fall seed collection.

Meeting Location: Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary (293 Commerical St, Saint Paul 55106). Map of the meeting location (https://goo.gl/GwPaKs).

Dates/Registration: Pre-registration is appreciated. Register here (http://bit.ly/restoresignup2019) as this will help us determine the amount of supplies we need to bring each week.

Questions: email [email protected]

What to bring: Full water bottle and you must wear closed toed shoes and long pants. You will be working outside so please make sure you dress for the weather.
