Opening Event: Urban Roots Story Gathering and Photo Exhibit

We welcome you to an evening of new photography and community conversation in partnership with Urban Roots Youth Council the other media group (omg), produced by Saint Paul’s Great River Passage Initiative (GRPI).

This event culminates six weeks of Urban Roots Youth Council facilitated by omg in developing a story and image gathering process to engage their identified East Side communities in conversation about their relationships to the Mississippi River and the natural world. This project is a pilot for an ongoing effort to learn alongside our neighbors through community led storytelling and artmaking and will inform the development of GRPI programs and projects to connect people to the river. We are just getting started!
