Mississippi River Kayak Tour- Saint Paul Historic Skyline

Gain a new perspective of the Twin Cities from America’s only water-based National Park on this REI paddling tour through the beautiful Mississippi River gorge! We’ll travel from Hidden Falls Regional Park past historic Fort Snelling and land at Harriet Island downtown. Along the way we’ll explore the sacred confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers, discover flora and fauna along the river banks, spot bald eagles, heron and other migratory birds and finally, admire Minnesota’s Capitol city skyline as it comes into focus. The total distance of this tour is approximately 6 miles. Participants bring their own lunch and we’ll stop to eat along the way. Prerequisite: Learn to Kayak Class or equivalent skills.
