Come hear and see the history of these sandstone caves.  You will explore the original mined caves and see the finished caves (once a romantic night club called The Castle Royal).  Hear the legends of the mobster massacres and ghostly lore in the most unique setting from Chicago to San Francisco.   45-minute walking tour - reservations not required.  We are handicap accessible with ramps and bathrooms.

Join Lower Phalen Creek Project's board and staff, along with architect Sam Olbekson of Full Circle Indigenous Design and Cunningham Group, to envision what Wakan Tipi Center will look like. Wakan Tipi Center will be a cultural and environmental interpretive center located in the Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary at 4th at Commercial St., below Mounds Park. Birding Walk at Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary

Leaders from the Urban Birding and Outdoors Collective will lead a walk through the sanctuary and discuss the diverse bird life within the park. Binoculars will be provided. Wear closed toed shoes and bring a waterbottle. Participants will meet at the park entrance at 4th at Commercial at 11:30 am and walk will begin shortly thereafter.
