Goat Meet-and-Greet

June 16, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

**Update** It looks like the weather will begin to clear by noon. The event is still on and look forward to seeing you there!

To care for the parkland near the Mississippi River, Saint Paul Natural Resources and the Great River Passage initiative have introduced grazing goats to select parks. This initiative is a part of a strategic, multi-year approach to manage invasive species along the river. These goats will help reduce overgrowth by eating unwanted vegetation like buckthorn and garlic mustard.

Join the knowledgeable staff and the charismatic herd from Goat Dispatch for a meet and greet. Learn more about the goats and this ecologically sensitive approach to invasive plant removal to maintain our city’s natural habitats.

We suggest you BYOP (bring your own picnic) and make an afternoon of it by enjoying the bluff top views and a walk through the forest trails.

Event is FREE AND FOR ALL AGES.

Pre-register to reserve your place (note number in your party). Walk-ups will be taken as available.
